On 1 January 2016, Tomáš Král (36) will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer at international transport and logistics operator AWT Group. Tomáš Král has served in financial management positions at AWT Group since 2010. His main priority will be the strategic financial management of AWT Group and the establishing and linking of all financial processes with the new shareholder, largest Polish logistics operator PKP CARGO Group.
Tomáš Král studied at the University of Economics in Prague (VŠE) in the fields of international trade and transportation and logistics. Prior to joining AWT Group, he managed finance and economic governance at the representative office of Dutch road transport company in the Czech Republic, Van der Vlist Czech. In 2010, he joined AWT Group and soon became Chief Financial Officer of subsidiary AWT BlueTrucks. Subsequently, in 2011, he moved to the position of AWT Group Controlling Director. While in that role he simultaneously served for three years as Director of the intermodal transport terminal Ostrava-Paskov and, since this year, he has been managing the process of integrating AWT Group and new shareholder PKP CARGO Group. „The integration of AWT Group and PKP CARGO Group, along with expansion into new markets and developing our services, place a strong emphasis on the quality of financial management. Tomáš Král is succeeding outgoing Chief Financial Officer David Prchal.
