The founding charter of the national enterprise Ostravskokarvinský revír, doprava was issued by the Ministry of Fuels and Energy on 1 April 1952, effective from 1 January 1952.
The state firm’s business was defined as the management, coordination and control of railway transport on mine sidings within the premises of the Ostrava-Karviná mining corporation, and the operation of passenger and freight transport within the extent specified by the corporation’s general manager.
