We would like to inform you that the information below concerns only the Polish parent company PKP CARGO S.A.
These decisions of PKP CARGO S.A. have no impact on the operations, activities and employees of the companies of the PKP CARGO INTERNATIONAL Group at this moment and the companies of the PKP CARGO INTERNATIONAL Group continue to provide their services under the existing conditions.
On 27 June 2024, the Board of Directors of PKP CARGO S.A. decided to file a petition with the court to initiate restructuring proceedings.
Restructuring (rehabilitation) proceedings are the opposite of bankruptcy. Its aim is to save the company and restore its solvency and competitiveness in the long term while preserving as many needed jobs as possible.
The decision to file the petition was taken by the Board of Directors with regard to the best interests of PKP CARGO S.A., as well as its employees and shareholders. In the opinion of the Board of Directors, the court-supervised restructuring process will enable PKP CARGO S.A. to continue its operations with the aim of achieving the best possible results for its creditors, employees and shareholders.
If the court approves the proposal, an administrator will be appointed to oversee the activities of the PKP CARGO S.A. Board of Directors from the date of commencement of the restructuring proceedings. The bodies of PKP CARGO S.A. (the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board) will perform their activities within the scope of their competences. PKP CARGO S.A. will continue to be listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
