On 19 June 2019, Jiří Babiš, who had been a Director of Financing and Manager of Controlling for railway transport, was appointed new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company Advanced World Transport (AWT), member of the PKP CARGO Group.
The newly appointed CFO will be responsible for strategic management of the finance section, controlling, IT, reporting, accounting, purchasing and financing in the AWT Group
Jiří Babiš has been active in the AWT Group since 2012 and he has been in the area of finance from the beginning of his career. Before joining AWT he worked for example as a Deputy Finance Director in Komerční banka, Director of Finance and Human Resources in the company Čechofracht and later he was a Finance Director in the company SPEDI-TRANS Praha. He graduated from the Faculty of Metallurgy at the Technical University of Ostrava, major in Economics and Management of Metallurgy.
