The AWT Group, a member of the PKP CARGO Group, has successfully completed a recertification of control systems pursuant to the currently valid standards of the ISO range 9001, 14001, 50001 and OHSAS 18001. Apart from the currently certified control systems, the group also has the certificate GMP+B4 for safe transport of fodder, SQAS for safe transport of chemical products and cleaning of rail wagons and road tankers, and also ECM certificates for rail wagon maintenance systems.
At the end of April and in the course of May there was a TMS recertification audit in the companies of the AWT group according to the control systems ČSN EN ISO 9001:2016 (quality), ČSN EN ISO 14001:2016 (environmental protection), ČSN OHSAS 18001:2008 (occupational health and safety) and also a supervisory audit for the system ČSN EN ISO 5001:2012 (energy management).
“With the successful recertification we have confirmed that we carry out all our activities in compliance with currently valid standards, and we provide our customers with the high-quality services that clients demand these days in the highly competitive environment. All the significant and acknowledged certificates show that we are doing things right, and we believe that this success will be appreciated by our current and potential clients and partners,” said David Kostelník, AWT Group CEO.
One part of the recertification of TMS control systems in the companies Advanced World Transport (AWT) and AWT Rekultivace was a supervisory audit for systems of quality and environmental protection in the company AWT ROSCO with participation of auditors from the ČIA (Czech Accreditation Institute).
“We are pleased that auditors from the company CQS Praha stated that in the course of the entire recertification no non-compliance or shortcoming was discovered, and they thus appreciated the highly expert, professional work of our employees,” said Bohumil Bonczek, AWT technical director.
Moreover, this year the recertification occurred in a celebratory atmosphere, because AWT is celebrating 15 years since the successful certification of the first integrated TMS system (joint certification of quality and safety system).
This long-term success of the company did not go unnoticed, and it was also recognised on the Customer Day, which was organised by the certification company CQS upon the occasion of the 25th anniversary of its founding. On 22 May 2018 in Prague the AWT representatives received the CQS award for most valued customers from the CEO of CQS.
“We greatly appreciate this award, and for us it represents an undertaking for the years to come to continue providing, throughout the entire PKP CARGO Group, our customers with a fast, comprehensive, flexible and reliable service throughout the whole service portfolio of the AWT Group,” added Radek Podstawka, director for compliance and quality in the AWT company.
