On 28 March 2024, Mr Zbigniew Prus was appointed a Member of the Board of Directors of PKP CARGO INTERNATIONAL a.s.
Zbigniew Prus is an experienced leader in the field of rail transport, who currently works within the PKP CARGO Group as a Member of the Board of Directors for Operations at PKP CARGO SERVICE sp. z o.o. and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AWT ROSCO a.s., a member of the PKP CARGO INTERNATIONAL Group.
He has 32 years of experience in the railway sector, in particular working for state owned companies within the PKP structures, progressing through various work positions.
His professional challenges include key positions, ranging from operational positions such as traction locomotive driver to various managerial positions at Operational Areas and Head Office of PKP CARGO S.A. or PKP CARGO Group companies.
Throughout his working life he improved his qualifications and deepened his knowledge in the field of transport, graduating from various faculties and obtaining a Master of Engineering degree in this field, gaining comprehensive knowledge mostly in the field of operation and maintenance of rolling stock. In addition, he broadened his horizons at the University of Business, obtaining a Master of Business Administration.
He took numerous part in the processes of creation and restructuring of PKP CARGO S.A., as well as implementation of modern, various exploitation programmes, optimising and improving the entire transport process.
