Railway management
PKP CARGO INTERNATIONAL offers comprehensive services on railways and sidings including related services and administration. When developing new projects in the area of railway and sidings management, we closely cooperate with our customers and consult with them regarding the technical and technological possibilities of construction and the composition of services and administration.
We own an extensive rail siding network, which includes almost 330 km of tracks. In the Ostrava region alone we operate ten sidings with more than a thousand switches. Within the Czech Republic, we operate about 60 sidings. We are gradually expanding into other countries, including Slovakia, Hungary and Poland.
We can arrange track operation and track-based transport at the sidings, inspection activities, track repairs and maintenance, engineering and consulting services in the area of railway construction and operation of track-based transport, including the services of a “Safety Consultant”.

Transport of materials for railway construction
We provide all professional services in the area of repair and maintenance of rail superstructures and substructures as well as of railway signalling and telecommunication facilities.
We build and renovate tracks, railway overpasses and crossings and special railway structures; maintain tracks and switches; build and drain hard surfaces and utility distribution networks; assemble, maintain and repair signalling and telecommunication facilities; and install radio communication systems. To conduct our rail services, we use our own machinery and equipment as well as our own assembly centre in Karviná.
