The Communications Director of international transportation operator AWT, Petr Jonák (31), has become the Group’s Director of External Relations.
In the newly created position, he will be responsible for the marketing activities of the Group’s key companies as well as for relationships with public institutions at the European, national and regional levels. He retains his responsibility for corporate communication (PR, internal communication, marketing communication and brand development, sponsoring and CSR – corporate social responsibility).
Petr Jonák has been a member of the AWT team since the beginning of 2010. He had previously worked at Škoda Auto, where he was responsible for external relations, communication and social responsibility. From 2001 to 2006, he worked in the media as an economic editor with the Czech Press Agency (ČTK) in Prague and Brussels, and as an editor for the Hospodářské noviny daily.
A graduate of the University of Economics in Prague, Petr Jonák, in addition to working in AWT, is a member of an expert team for economic policy at the Confederation of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic. He is also a member of the managing board of the OKD Foundation. Among his hobbies are sports, travel and following international current affairs.
